While we often concentrate on maintaining the skin on our face, the skin on our body should have equal attention. Body scrubs are an excellent way to take care of the beautiful skin we are in. They help to keep our skin clean and healthy, as well assist in circulation and lymphatic drainage. There are quite a few ways to perform a body scrub. They include incorporating natural defoliants, like salt and sugar, with moisturizing ingredients.  At Euro Institute, we focus on providing a rewarding experience that both addresses skin concerns and provides additional benefits.

Salt and Sugar......Oh My!

Salt Scrubs –  are designed for skin turnover and detoxification of the skin's surface. Himalayan Sea Salt is ideal for a scrub because of its high mineral content (over 84!) which allows for maxim benefit. This high mineral content allows for deep exfoliation and provide a natural pH balance. Containing remnants of the original primal sea, Himalayan Pink Salt has been forming into crystals for us to use for over 200 million years.

The Euro Institute of Skin Care has a holistic approach to body treatments by incorporating our Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub with unique blends of essential oils to help achieve total synergy of mind, body, and spirit. We focus on three specific approaches - a  non clinical approach to Pain Relief, an uplifting Vitality blend to revitalize the senses, and a deep Tranquility blend to sooth and relax your body.

Sugar Scrubs - Unlike salt scrubs, sugar uses a smaller granule to help turn the skin from dull to vibrant. Sugar scrubs are great for the Fall because of the high amount of moisture they provide from the sugar. They are easier to remove because many times your skin will simply absorb the scrub and this type of scrub is a great treatment for more sensitive skin. They work perfectly with heavier oils and deliver a beautiful after-glow effect to your skin.

Adding in a softening oil like coconut helps to add to the overall hydration and health of the skin. For our sugar scrubs, we add in choice of essences of grapefruit/mandarin or lemongrass. Each one of these essential oils aims at highlighting a client's experience. For example, grapefruit and mandarin are known mood lifters and lemongrass targets stress and anxiety.

Body treatments done by an Esthetician offer so much to our clients. We are able to build trust and work on all aspects of our client's needs. By taking the time to get to know ingredients, we can also work on our favorite subject - skin challenges!
