6 Ingredients for Summer Skin

There are a ton of natural ingredients that benefit the skin, but according to recent studies, these ingredients are especially helpful in the summer. 


1. Rice Bran Oil

Rice bran oil contains the chemical compound called gamma-oryzanol which include benefits such as:

·       sun protection from UVA

·       shield the skin from UVB Rays

·       vitamin E

2. Witch Hazel

Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, witch hazel can benefit sunburns by reducing discomfort.


3. Aloe Vera

Aloe contains several ingredients which can benefit the skin by:

·       reducing the pain and inflammation associated with sunburn. 

·       reducing redness

·       vitamin A, C, and E


4. Marshmallow Root

Marshmallow root is a demulcent, which is an agent that forms a soothing and protective film, useful in treating inflammatory conditions of the skin.


5. Honey

The moisture in the honey is absorbed by the skin, helping to:

·       reduce swelling

·       reduce redness

·       provides nutrients to repair broken tissues

The antibacterial properties can help eliminate the risks of infection as well.

Coconut milk contains fatty acids that help to reduce skin itchiness, pain, and inflammation.
